We love going in the great outdoors and especially with great hikes everywhere.  My neighbor told me about this hike and we were excited to spend a Saturday enjoying nature.  It was a bit rainy but we still made the best of it and finished before it downpoured.  This is called Horsetail Falls and follows behind Multanomah Falls in OR.  It starts with this beautiful waterfall.
Hello Mr. Beetle  Jaycee always finds some kind of creature
A hiking we will go, a hiking we will go...
After doing a few switchbacks and going steep fast you come to this next-looking out toward the side of the mountain
And this amazing waterfall on the left side.  It doesn't look big in the picture until you scroll through and see...

Craig and the girls in the "cave" part under neath the waterfall.  It's super slippery and cold!
Here you can see Craig and the girls underneath.  It's huge.  It's name is Ponytail Falls
You keep going and come to a breathtaking overlooking the gorge and right along the cliffs.  A little boy actually died here and there's a little memorial.  We stopped to take a look and for emergency potty breaks.  Then you continue on down to this bridge...look closely

And at the bridge is our final lookout through the mountains and a waterfall.  We wanted to continue the loop but another 2 miles would be impossible for Jaycee who at this point was ready to be done and we still had to go back.
It was just a nice time and a much needed day in nature to step away and enjoy what God has given us.  I just love the beauty here.  It never gets old!
